While skills and qualifications are clearly important within the commercial recruitment sector, we realise that behavioural competencies are equally important when looking to add another member to your team. If you are recruiting a new Account Manager for example, we understand that you will need to trust that the individual will be able to represent you and your company’s product or service and portray the ethics, culture and values of your organisation. This cannot always be understood by just looking at CVs and matching them with job descriptions. Like many industries, recruitment, talent acquisition and candidate attraction has seen some exciting technological changes in recent times, with new platforms and software available to ‘streamline’ the recruitment process and at times make it more automated. Commercial recruitment in 2017 is very much a candidate driven marketplace and although we are keen to embrace changes that can improve our service, we feel that the traditional values of building candidate relationships, understanding the drivers and motivations behind their job search and where it fits in with their career plans, are still as relevant today as they always have been.
